Like mother like son?!

Travis swears that Max is just like me...he's stubborn, he's an early riser and he gets angry when he's hungry. I say the stubborn gene could have come from either of us. Max loves cars...or basically anything with wheels, anything that is loud, and anything sports related, especially balls. He found Travis' footballs in the garage tonight and has been carrying them around the house. I think these photos add to the case that he's like his daddy...or at least an equal mix of both of us.

It's a boy or a girl?!

We went for my 20 week ultrasound on May 19th. Max was in a great mood until he tripped in the waiting room and hit his cheek on the coffee table. The sonographer called us back shortly afterward, and Max was a wreck the whole appointment. Travis' time was spent trying to keep him happy, while our littlest one gave the sonographer a run for her money. She tried several times through the appointment to see if it was a boy or girl, and this baby was a lot more modest than Max was. At the end of the appointment she was finally able to see what she was looking for. I thought I saw it before she said anything...It's a boy! Max is going to have a little brother! We are thrilled for him and have hopes that they'll be great friends! Here are some photos from our big day!

Max's fun day out!

Today I was able to get a lot of work done in the morning, and Max was such a trooper that I decided to take him to do something fun in the afternoon. We went to All Fired Up to paint pottery. We walked around and looked at everything so we could decide what we should paint. I picked up different things and the thing he responded to the most was a P-51 Mustang airplane. Maybe because we've surrounded him with airplanes in his room, but that was what he seemed to like the best. We picked out our paints, got a smock and got started. The first thing he did was put the paint brush in his mouth. Then he actually did do some painting...for about 4 minutes and then he was done. It was a fun little outing, though, and I he'll have a nice little keepsake when it's fired.

We then headed to the book store so Mommy could find some books on sleep solutions to get Max sleeping through the night before the new baby arrives. Max was oblivious to what Mommy was up to, and had fun playing with the train set they had there.

All that fun made us hungry so we met Nana at CPK for lunch. Max loved spending time with Nana and gave her lots of hugs. Nana let Max wear her sunglasses, which he thought was very cool!
