Our Boys

Here are some photos of the boys from this past week. Both of them are feeling better finally and they've been having a great time together!

This is what happens when you leave the bag of Chex Mix too close to Max...

Max decided he didn't want to take a nap and kept getting new books to read...Mommy nipped that in the bud! As of Friday, however, Max is not napping at all anymore. He spends 2 hours of quiet time in his room now. As you can imagine, it takes about 30 minutes to clean up after quiet time, but so far it's going well!.

I ordered a hat from Etsy for Liam, not realizing it was from Bulgaria. We finally received it Friday and it was worth the wait...and kind of special that it was from so far away!

Color Matching

COLORS! On one of our walks,this past week, I decided to stop in at Home Depot and pick up some paint chips for this fun color matching game I found on Pinterest. It took about 45 minutes to make, but there was some drying time involved, too. When I was finished, we had a lovely rainbow of colors to match!

A little orange lady bug found his way into our house, so we decided to match him up. Max was a little apprehensive, but did let her crawl on his hand for a few seconds.

The clothespins were a little tricky for him at first, but he got the hang of it.

We had a great time matching the clothespins to other things around the room too, which really brought the game to life.

I wasn't sure how far we'd get, before he'd lose interest, but when he was tired of matching them up, he handed the rest of them to me so I could finish. We had a great time and this is sure to be one of our favorite activities!

Watercolor Fun!

Today was Max and Liam's sweet Aunt Kim's birthday. We decided to have a painting party here, to help her celebrate. I stripped Max down and let him paint to his heart's content. Liam had fun hanging out in the tub.

Play Dough!

Today I decided to make play dough for Max. It turned out pretty good except that I only have rock salt, so it was a little bumpy. It was Max's first time playing with it and he didn't know what to think at first. It didn't take long, however, and he was having lots of fun!
