30 Week Appointment

Today was my 30 week appointment.

We had to wait a while today, but we got to meet the other CNM, Sherry. She just joined the group a month ago, so she could be the one to deliver Baby 2. This will probably be the last appointment Travis will get to go to, since he'll be starting his new job on the 16th. Max and I will miss him going with us!

Max spots the baby in the lady's tummy!

Baby 2 is doing great! I'm still measuring about a week ahead and he is now in the cephalic, or head down, presentation, although he could still turn. I could have told you this, though, because I have been feeling his hiccups down low for a few days now. His heartbeat was 137 and it was so cute to watch Max's face while we were listening to it. He kind of just stared with his mouth open a little. It was so neat to see him reacting to some of the first sounds from his little brother! (As I'm typing this, Baby 2 is making waves in my belly.) Anyway, I really liked Sherry and would feel comfortable with either midwife delivering Baby 2. As far as weight goes, I've finally regained the 6 pounds I lost, in the first 5 months, so I've technically not gained any weight. I have a feeling I'll pack it on in these last two months. I gained 40 pounds with Max in the second have of the pregnancy somehow, so I know it can happen quickly. I remember gaining 7 pounds in one week with Max. That was a shocker! I should be gaining about a 1/2 a pound a week in the next 9 weeks, but we'll see what happens. It was a good appointment and it was so nice to hear our new baby boy!
