Waiting for Babytwo...

Sometimes, Max and I like to go into Babytwo's room and relax and play. Not so long ago it was Max's room...Max's crib...Max's toys. We both feel very comfortable in there. We've spent many hours together in that room, nursing, bonding, playing...

We've made it a rule in the last few weeks that Max doesn't go in the crib. We've raised it up in preparation for Babytwo's arrival and outfitted it in his smart new bedding. Today, however, I made an exception and let him play in there. He was so happy to be back in his cozy little nest with his little plush toys and some new ones,  too. He loves the new airplane mobile and pointing to and asking about all of the vehicles on the sheets.

As he played, I daydreamed about seeing both of our boys playing in the crib together in the not so distant future. I can't wait to hear the things they'll say to each other, the way they will play off each other's imagination and ideas...the way they'll bring out the best, worst and maybe even new facets of each other's personality. I think it will be heaven on earth to see them smoosh their sweet little faces together when they give each other a hug. I just can't wait!
