Today found me rushing around to get us to Liam's doctor's appointment on time...and we were only 3 minutes late today! I'd say that is quite an accomplishment. It's so difficult to coordinate everything in the morning when I'm trying to get us out the door at a specific time. Both boys are wild cards. That's why I always try to allow 3-4 hours. Chances are, things will not go as planned. Anyway, we got there on time, and I was feeling good, but as soon as we got into the room, Max started whining and crying. I thought I had the solution...I had brought a bag full of books and his favorite toys to keep him occupied. Did he want them? NO! Not a single one. I finally let him out of the stroller and then he kept trying to climb onto the chair to turn off the light. He found out he could reach the handle of the door, at another appointment, so of course he kept trying to escape. I had to put him in time out twice while I was trying to help the nurse and Dr. Murad with Liam. It was pure chaos!
We finally finished up with Liam, and of course, he was screaming. Then it was Max's turn. I had to put Liam in his car seat, to help her with Max, where he continued to scream. We decided to have the doctor look at Max's ears and listen to his lungs since he's been sick this week. Sure enough he has a little fluid in his left ear, so she gave him a prescription for amoxicillin. Liam's screaming was almost more than I could take. I soothed him as soon as I could after Max was done. The appointment took over an hour and the whole thing was highly stressful for me, and I'm sure for everyone in the office...because I'm sure they could all hear our boys! Oh, well. This is the way things go sometimes. Hopefully next time will be better!
Liam is 14 pounds and 23 3/4 long. His head is 40.5 cm. He is in the 75th percentile for all 3.
Here are some pictures from our morning...
And this is one of Liam's favorite spots to sleep...
