Our little 28 week scare turned blessing...

This week we had a little scare. I thought I was possibly leaking a little amniotic fluid, so I went to see the doctor, on Tuesday, a couple of days before my scheduled appointment. Luckily, he said the test was negative for amniotic fluid and that it was probably just a little urine from the baby pressing on my bladder. I've never been so happy to hear that I had been peeing myself! ;) When he measured, me, however, he said I was only measuring 24 weeks...almost a month behind! That, coupled with the fact that I've only gained 2 pounds total, so far, concerned him a little. He said he wanted me to have an ultrasound to check the baby's growth.

We headed to the office this morning, a little concerned, but with faith that God was taking good care of Baby 2. We were a little excited, too, to be able to see him again!
They had double booked us, so we had to wait almost an hour in the lobby. Max did great, considering it was right smack in the middle of his nap time. He had fun playing with his trucks.
Bridget finally called us back to the room and we made sure to get a picture  this time.
We were excited to learn that they had gotten new equipment and that we would get a video of him! She measured him and measured my amniotic fluid and everything looked great! Turns out that he's actually already 3lbs 1oz...and in the 80th percentile! Her theory was that he was possibly transverse when I was measured yesterday, which made my uterus seem shorter.

We had a great time looking at him! He was moving around a lot, but we were even able to get a little 4D of him. Unfortunately, he was being shy, and he turned away and put his hand up...just like his Daddy...when we tried to see his face...
